Staycation II

Our Staycation stretched over a week, with lots of outdoor time around the pool, on the trails, and at the playground. We gifted the “young people” a night out at Hotel San Jose with dinner and brunch in the morning, while we had fun with Jack and Benjamin. It was so nice to see the two couples spending time together. Andrew and Elizabeth flew to Colorado with their boys later in the summer, to be with Clayton and Vivian. Their photos show how adventurous that trip was for Jack and Benjamin. Now we have to think of our next family vacation in ‘25. But beginning with this summer of ‘23, we have enjoyed so many days with Matthew in Austin. These happy times bring me back to discovering music when I was a kid—my Meet the Beatles LP and my first 45’s of their singles, along with those of the Byrds and Badfinger.
