Santa Fe was in perfect form those few days we visited -- sunny and in the seventies -- and both the Hotel Santa Fe and the Santa Fe Opera made for memorable experiences. Mornings were beautiful with breakfast on the hacienda patio, and late afternoons we enjoyed happy hour in the hospitality suite. We took our time walking the streets and taking in the shops and galleries and adobe houses. Of course, Santa Fe is known for its wonderful restaurants, so eating out was a treat. For the Santa Fe Opera, we opted for the boxed picnic dinner, after taking a shuttle out to the theater. Mark was a trooper to go for the experience -- Mom, I thought of you the entire time!
