We left Santa Fe and found ourselves going from the sacred of Chimayo to the profane of Roswell. That’s Roswell, New Mexico, known for the UFO incident back in 1947. Believe me, the town has capitalized on its notoriety with all the references to Area 51 and aliens and UFO crash sites. As we passed through, we thought of all our favorite space movies -- 2001, Close Encounters, Alien, Moon, Contact, ET and so on. And we had to give Roswell credit for its enthusiasm about UFO’s, though the cynic in me knows it’s all for cash.
