March birthdays 2026

March is a big month for birthdays, with Patrick and Bonnie and Bud taking the lead, and Andrew taking the last spot. With all the traveling at spring break in March, we celebrated Bonnie’s a little late when Amy was able to come to Texas. We went out for a birthday dinner at one of her favorite places, Jonathan’s the Rub, and played mahjong late into the night at our apartment. The next day, Bonnie had all the family over to her house to celebrate Beck and Cole and Benji’s birthdays. As always, playing in the pool and hot tub was a big hit. This year, Star Wars was still on the list for Benji’s birthday presents, and a new interest was chess. The wooden chess set with felt inserts for all the pieces turned out to be perfect for him. He and Jack had just as much fun playing with the magnetized chess pieces, apart from the game. Our gift for Andrew’s birthday would have to wait until Easter when he and Elizabeth would have a relaxing weekend together, while Mark and I took the boys to Austin.
