Thanksgiving in Fredericksburg--and Austin
Elizabeth asked to spend a couple of days in Fredericksburg to start the Thanksgiving holidays—she has fond memories of other times she’s been there with family—so I reserved two cottages at our favorite Herb Farm. It was special to the boys to see the Christmas decorations at the center of town and to spend the night with Mommy in a charming “little house.” Then it was back home in Austin to welcome Matthew and Sharon and Andrew for Thanksgiving, and since it would not be “our turn” to have Elizabeth’s family for Christmas, we got an early start with decorating the tree, baking our sugar cookies, and watching our favorite holiday movies.
