Jennifer's Sprinkle - Double Take
With Jennifer's twins due in six weeks -- and now that we were over the shock—we held a "sprinkle" at Elizabeth's house. She and Amy and I went with a Noah's Ark and two-by-two theme. All looked good until I unveiled the decorated animal cookies, though "decorated" is an overstatement. Oh well, we knew Klein, or John, would enjoy them anyway. For Elizabeth, it was the first time to host a party at her house since she and Andrew moved to Briar Grove. Jennifer arrived with Bonnie and Patrick, before the friends dropped in. And Klein, the one whose life was really going to change, showed up with John in time to open all the presents. Patrick's gag gift—a play on an episode from Real Housewives, Orange County—was a a highlight, though some of us were clueless and needed a tutorial afterwards. At least we could laugh at everyone else laughing, with Jennifer close to tears. And we could shower sweet Klein with our attention and help prepare him to be big brother.
