We woke at dawn to catch our train to Vancouver which took us past white boats on Puget Sound, patchwork farms, and sleepy towns. Once we checked in at our hotel, we walked through downtown to the shuttle to Grouse Mountain. Little did we know that the Grouse Grind was an unrelenting vertical climb for 1.8 miles to the top. Other eye-openers were the stunning blues of the harbor, the towering condos, the morning sights at Stanley Park and the Olympic torches on the waterfront. Our ferry to Victoria at sunset closed our second day in Vancouver. Leave a comment
