Last August at this time, we were driving a Penske truck from D.C. to Pawley’s Island, on our way to move Elizabeth back to Texas. This year we were moving Matthew to his new apartment in Durham. The move went off without a hitch, with Mark and Matthew doing the heavy lifting, and after spending the night and doing some shopping, we said goodbye and headed for Pawley’s Island. I have to say we were surprised at the cool, breezy weather, related to the unfortunate hurricane heading for Louisiana. We took advantage of the temps to take long walks in the neighborhood and on the beach and to visit Brookgreen Gardens. The towering live oaks and sculpture gardens overwhelmed us with their southern grace and charm. And the relaxing days with family were just what Mark needed. Leave a comment
