Thanksgiving week was beautiful -- sunny, cool and colorful -- and Matthew, Elizabeth and Andrew were here to enjoy it with us. On Wednesday, we had lunch at Taco Deli and dinner at Chavez, with runs and walks around the neighborhood in between. Thursday morning, Mark and Matthew ran the 5-mile Turkey Trot, while I took the easy one-mile route. It was fun being among the hordes of humanity in downtown Austin. The head count ran over 21,000. Back at home, Elizabeth and I prepared our traditional meal of smoked turkey and vegetable dishes, to the background noise of football, of course. It was wonderful being together, Jaguar included, for the holiday that’s all about family and home.
