Houma for the holidays -- what a nice way to ring in the new year! Three days after Christmas, we hit the road for Louisiana, first dropping off Matthew at the airport and then taking Elizabeth to Houston. It turned out to be a nightmare day for Matthew, with flight delay and an overnight stay in Atlanta. Thankfully, he made it to North Carolina to be with Taryn and his college friends. Elizabeth and Andrew fared better with their flight and arrived in Houma just a short while after we drove in. It was a fun few days, with Mike and family’s visit on Sunday and Amy’s house the designated party central. Good food, good football, good games and a nineteenth anniversary for Amy and Claude made it a memorable end of 2013. We missed you, Bonnie and fam!
