Matthew's Doctoral Hooding Ceremony

Mark and I were thrilled to attend Matthew’s hooding ceremony at UNC in May. We arrived just in time, luggage in tow, at the reception for the Royster Society of Fellows. It was a proud, happy moment to see Matthew recognized there among his cohorts, and an even more exuberant moment to see him ascend the stage with his mentor, Mitch Prinstein, at the doctoral hooding ceremony the next day. Matthew looked so happy, which meant the world to us. We celebrated Mother’s Day the following morning with brunch, and left him, as always, looking forward to the next time we’d be together.
