On the Sidelines: LSU at the Texas Bowl

LSU defeated Baylor at the Texas Bowl on New Year’s Eve, and we were on the sidelines to see it! Eric managed to get four passes for the game, and Amy and Claude shocked us when they accepted Bonnie’s invitation to go. They spent the first night at our apartment, to shorten the drive. It was Claude’s first time seeing where we’ve been living in Houston the last six years. We drove to the stadium with Bonnie the next day, and after settling in our good seats and watching the Tigers dominate the game, we were approached by Eric’s friend and escorted to the sidelines in the fourth quarter. To be on the field was a thrill to remember! I kept thinking we were in the way, that maybe we should return to our seats, but we were assured it was okay, and did we really want to leave? That night, back at Bonnie’s with Mark, we celebrated New Year’s Eve, along with Amy and Claude’s anniversary, belatedly. John had prepared a feast for us. What an eventful weekend, start to finish!
