On the Greenbelt in Austin

On the Greenbelt in Austin

In the dog days of summer, Elizabeth and the boys drove over to Austin, just in time to enjoy flowing water in the creeks of the Greenbelt. It’s a rare occurrence in Barton Creek, given the little rain we usually get in July and August. Jack and Benjamin were troopers on the mile-plus hike to Twin Falls, and were really in their element swimming and jumping in the creek. Now that Benjamin was swimming on his own, he kept up with Jack out back in our pool, their favorite spot to be at our house. I always feel that our home is what it’s meant to be when they’re with us there. At first we worried about all the climbing of stairs and rocks; now we see it’s their perfect playground.
