A January Austin

We returned home after our two weeks away to resume our routine in Austin, but Matthew’s gift of an ACL concert was something out of the ordinary. The concert to benefit mental health featured a variety of bands, with Flaming Lips as the headliner. I thought it would be more of a treat for me, but Mark enjoyed the music — and the theatrical stunts of Flaming Lips — as much as I did. As always, we came away feeling there’s no better place to hear live music than Austin. And with the wet winter, Austin was a better-than-usual place for hiking along the creeks. What a difference a little rain makes, for glorious skies, too!
