Our days in San Diego started out crisp and sunny with the bluest of skies, the perfect backdrop to our stay at the Grand Del Mar. Mark and I enjoyed our walks on the sprawling resort grounds. Later we took a rainy hike on the dunes of Torrey Pines. It brought us back to the first time we saw those dunes and cliffs dropping to the ocean -- on our Thanksgiving family trip back in 2006.
