On November 6, the parents of Andrew’s friends threw a fiesta party for him and Elizabeth, and it was so nice to meet more of the people who are close to him. Bonnie and John joined Mark and Matthew and me to represent our family. I’m surprised Mark and John didn’t get that comment again: “Don’t tell me, you must be brothers!” Elizabeth and Matthew did get a few about looking so much alike. And we got into conversations about Ole Miss -- yes, Mom, you missed out -- and Louisiana Tech. John couldn’t miss meeting a fellow alum. Of course, the Vandy group was in full force -- almost -- and Bonnie seemed to fit right in, after meeting them at the shower. It was a fun evening, and after our planning meeting at the Julia Ideson Library earlier that day, the wedding seems so much closer. At the end, I include a Halloween pic of young Steve Jobs, and a few pics from Saturday night at the opera. Mark’s friends gave us tickets for Aida, and sitting on the second row was a real treat. It was the same night as Fun Fun Fun Fest, so it was a lively Austin scene at the Long Center!
