Gaudi in Barcelona

Everything Gaudi: I could definitely take that tour of Barcelona! His philosophy, drawn from his deep reverence for God’s creation, so beautifully informs his focus on natural forms. Understandably, our visit to Sagrada Familia did something for my soul. I sat in front of the altar, feeling a palpable sense of peace , and prayed for Elizabeth to become a mother. Knowing now that she’s expecting a baby, I want to treasure that experience. Sagrada Familia was the highlight for me, but La Pedrera and Park Guell added that much more to my appreciation of Gaudi’s art. I would have loved a tour of Casa Batllo as well, but we did get to gaze on its exterior by day and night walking from our hotel. His work stirred Mark’s imagination just as much, with his love of architecture and design. We left Barcelona with a wish to return someday, hopefully with the entire family.
